Anti-Hazing Policy:

Per the Unanimous Agreements, the National Panhellenic Conference supports all efforts to eliminate hazing. All forms of hazing shall be banned.

No chapter, newly established chapter, student, or alumnus shall conduct or condone hazing activities. Hazing is not consistent with the mission of the university and is in opposition to the founding principles of fraternal organizations. The University will not tolerate hazing in any form. Hazing activities are defined as:

An action taken or situation created, intentionally, whether on or off the chapter premises, to produce mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment, or ridicule. Such activities may include but are not limited to the following: use of alcohol; paddling in any form; creation of excess fatigue; physical and psychological shocks; quests; treasure hunts; scavenger hunts; road trips or any such activities carried on inside or outside the confines of the chapter house; the wearing of public apparel which is conspicuous and not normally in good taste; engaging in public stunts and buffoonery; morally degrading or humiliating games and activities; and other such activities that are not consistent with the academic achievement, fraternal law, ritual or policy, or regulations or policies of the University, or applicable state law.
